Empowerment and Community Inclusion
Self-help, peer support, and inclusive pathways that strengthen voice, participation, and responsive local governance.
About us
KOSHISH in Nepali means "to try" or "put an effort". Established in 2008 by people with lived experience of mental health challenges, we promote mental health and psychosocial wellbeing in Nepal.

Four pillars guide how we collaborate with communities, institutions, and partners across Nepal.
Self-help, peer support, and inclusive pathways that strengthen voice, participation, and responsive local governance.
Policy dialogue, public awareness, and partnerships that reduce stigma and align practice with human rights standards.
Building effective, inclusive support systems with stakeholders, leaders, and responders in communities.
Training, workshops, and capacity building so teams and rights holders can lead sustainable advocacy.
Through research, advocacy, and direct services, we strive to reduce stigma, promote early intervention, and ensure access to quality care for all.
Programs and partnerships extend across provinces—working with local governments, health systems, and community networks.
